This year Dusseldorf is shifting the way agencies and brands showcase their products. Diversity of locations, events and supporting initiatives attracts more international and local visitors promising exciting new contacts for everyone while maintaining traditionally commercial focus of the trade fair.

CPD, one of the most important women’s wear trade shows in the world – accounted for the stands of 950 participating brands with three large halls. Unique to the trade show are sections for Maternity Wear (the largest in Europe by number of participating brands) and “Big is Beautiful,” which offers plus-size clothing.

Conceived in 2009 to fill the gap that Bread&Butter left when it moved t0 Berlin (after three and a half years in Barcelona), The Brandery is organized by Fira Barcelona. Approximately 200 brands are planning to exhibit at the trade show including Armand Basi and Custo Barcelona. Now in it’s third season, The Brandery focuses mainly on urban and contemporary fashion. This edition, entitled Love Revolution, takes it’s central inspiration from “the groundbreaking and creative movement inspired by the “radical revolution” of Indian philosopher Jiddu Krishnamurti, and transforming it into the intangible value of fashion brands”. Organised in collaboration with Children’s Fashion Europe and Italian Vogue Bambini, FIMI (FERIA INTERNACIONAL DE LA MODA INFANTIL Y JUVENIL DE FERIA), is a leading trade show for European children’s wear.

Over 200 brands from 14 countries will be exhibiting their Spring/Summer 2011 collections, including Custo Growing (the junior edition of Custo Barcelona) and Desigual Kids. In addition, visitors will find stands dedicated to infant and maternity wear and SEE ME, a section specifically intended for new and up-and-coming brands.

FIMI’s main ambition for this season is to make further headway into emerging territories, such as Holland, where the market for children’s wear is steadily growing. Additionally, this edition of the trade show will focus on sustainable and environmentally-friendly products for the new generation.
