Dysfashional Berlin Opening
Last night, less than two weeks before the start of Berlin Fashion Week, designers, journalists and creatives came together for a fashionable warm-up: the opening of the exhibition Dysfashional at Haus der Kulturen der Welt. Berlin’s major Klaus Wowereit and French Ambassador Bernard de Montferrand opened the event with an official speech, followed by an original performance by ESMOD students entitled Bodies in Motion. Among the hustle and bustle of the evening, TribaSpace managed to grab participating artist Michael Sontag for a few minutes to find out more about his involvement in the exhibition and the concept behind his piece, The Dressing Table.
Brand Focus: Titis
Founded in 2005 by the Murcia-based Paparajote Design and Communications Studio, Titis Clothing define themselves as a “young, independent, urban clothing company and collective.” Striving to create pieces that go beyond trends and momentary fads, the Spanish brand constructs their garments using original prints, patterns and quality materials, while constantly re-evaluating and re-inventing their core aesthetic. Highlight: Kaviar Gauche Flagship Store Opening
4th June, Berlin-
Today, another flagship store opens its doors in Berlin. Design duo Kaviar Gauche (known outside Germany for its edgy, unusual, bespoke bridalwear and accessories like the Lamella bag), now has its own point-of-sale in the city.
Customers can look forward to individual styling advice straight from the designers’ team, and the possibility of buying several show pieces and vintage collection items. The Kaviar Gauche label has become synonymous with the German luxury market, attracting celebrities, style-conscious shoppers and fashionistas.

Highlight: Vero Moda/Jack&Jones Shop Opening In Berlin
3rd-5th June, Berlin-
High Street clothing labels Vero Moda and Jack&Jones will expand their retail base with a new shop opening in Berlin today. The venue is located centrally at Kurfürstendamm (Ku’damm, for short), a well-known shopping destination in the western part of the city. Offering affordable clothing reflecting contemporary and up-to-date trends, Vero Moda and Jack&Jones enjoy massive popularity and steady growth in Germany and other European and international markets including Scandinavia, UK, France, United Arab Emirates and Canada. Both brands are part of the brand portfolio owned by Danish trading company Bestseller, along with Name It, Vila, and Only, among others.

Founded by Martina Rau, f.rau has been creating and designing her collections at her headquarters in Berlin Mitte since 2004. Amongst her core values lies a inherent understanding of functionality coupled with a deep respect for aesthetic balance and fluidity.
Designer Focus: 11null
Designed and manufactured in the Berlin neighborhood of Neukölln by best friends and 11null team Marc Fielk and Valentin Schönedienst, these sunglasses are called “Future Is Bright”. The idea is simple: a piece of soft metal is cut so thin that it curls gently around the face, creating a sleek pair of sunglasses that not only look radical, but provide 100% UV protection.
