projektGALERIE showrooms is a fashion trade show comprised of multiple showrooms, known as a platform for both emerging designers and established names. Based in Berlin, projektGALERIE have hosted many Scandinavian designers this season, providing them with an opportunity to showcase collections in Berlin prior to their home base in Copenhagen. Rather than holding yet another fashion fair in anonymous exhibition halls, projektGALERIE exhibit in the galleries of Berlin Mitte, creating an inspiring platform for art and fashion. read more
Dusseldorf Fashion Days: A TribaSpace Review
This year Dusseldorf is shifting the way agencies and brands showcase their products. Diversity of locations, events and supporting initiatives attracts more international and local visitors promising exciting new contacts for everyone while maintaining traditionally commercial focus of the trade fair.
CPD, one of the most important women’s wear trade shows in the world – accounted for the stands of 950 participating brands with three large halls. Unique to the trade show are sections for Maternity Wear (the largest in Europe by number of participating brands) and “Big is Beautiful,” which offers plus-size clothing.
Shop of the Week: Camomilla
While founding Camomilla in 1983 Maurice and Grace Belloni had a defined vision – produce quality handbags and accessories using feminine, playful and adaptable designs. The combination of character and quality was successful: a partnership with Sanrio in 1991 sealed the deal, providing Camomilla exclusive distribution of Hello Kitty products within Italy.
Brand Focus: nine:inthe:morning
3rd generation denim: nine:inthe:morning represents a family tree of textile industry entrepreneurs. From the very beginning of its history, nine:inthe:morning’s work has revolved around denim. It was grandmother Giulia who originally founded the family business in the 1930s–her five daughters then followed in their mother’s footsteps. The result is an Italian brand whose philosophy is “to study every detail, to engineer the form and the cut to perfection in order to create jeans similar to the most performing beauty cream — pleasurable, effective, long-lasting”. read more
Dusseldorf Fashion Days: A Preview
Dusseldorf’s perspective on fashion is shifting. Gone are the days of one single trade show, to be replaced by what TribaSpace is calling Dusseldorf Fashion Days.
CPD Dusseldorf, a trade fair for women’s wear and accessories (July 25-27), will play a significant role in Dusseldorf Fashion Days, and aims to bring renowned fashion designers together with specialist retailers and leading brands. The show is to be staged in six distinct sectors–including Gallery, Concept 11, Boutique, Modern Essentials, and Decorate: The World of Accessories and Italian Suite. The international designers will showcase their latest collections of women’s wear, jewellery, hats, bags and accessories. read more
Designer Focus: Arrondissement Aq1
Arrondissement Aq1 was celebrated as the discovery of the season at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin. This is the third collection from the label run by the young German talent Christina Arend, trained illustrator and fashion designer.
