Shop of the Week: RS1

RS1, Warsaw

Warsaw, known as the “Phoenix City” after rising from the ashes of the devastation of World War II, seems to be home to a continual rebirth of sorts. One highly visible example of this ongoing renewal is Polish fashion visionary Robert Serek’s RS1 concept store. CHOOLIPS Head to Toe

22nd April-23rd May, London-

Designing under the name of CHOOLIPS, Annegret Affolderbach has been creating and conceiving ethical and sustainable textiles and garments since 2003. Revamping deeply traditional techniques such as Batik to create her clothing, Annegret describes her pieces as “on trend, playful, pretty and reflecting [my] love for colour, texture and people.” The idea behind CHOOLIPS Head to Toe was to create an online pop-up shop where consumers are able to design their own garments and witness the production process at every step. A collaboration with Terra Plana and Funky Mutts, CHOOLIPS plans to “take you on a journey deep into our supply chain in Ghana/ West Africa to show you what difference you are making with your purchase while it makes its way to your wardrobe.”
